Free Services
Youth Direction Services provide free programs and services to youth ages 14 to 21 in Brooklyn and Queens, New York. Our initiatives are designed to support teens and parents to connect by empowering young individuals through emotional development, skill-building, and access to valuable resources. We focus on creating opportunities that inspire personal growth, foster creativity, and build resilience, ensuring that youths and parents/guardians has the support they need to reach their full potential at YDS NYC.

Our Programs
YARP Program
Youth Accountability & Reentry Program, 5-Week Workshop.
Two group sessions each week
Promoting positive decision-making and life skills while preventing incarceration.
Court-involved/Referred youth
Youth Emotional Develpoment
Providing youths with the tools they need to become confident, responsible, emotionally aware, and prepared for adulthood through mentoring, emotional-intelligence education, life-skills workshops, job readiness, conflict resolution, self-advocacy, and healthy relationship development. Improving graduation rates and workforce readiness.
Youth Prevention
Preventing youths from engaging in harmful behaviors or situations, such as substance abuse, violence, or criminal gang involvement and truancy
Teen Parenthood
Helping young parents balance parenting, education, employment, relationships, and their own personal development. Support can include parenting education, referrals to benefits and community resources, job readiness, emotional support, healthy relationship education, and goal planning.
